Lytham

Genteel shoppping

Lytham is well known throughout the north-west due to its iconic windmill set on the seafront this beautiful white windmill is synonymous with the town.

The Windmill is set on a beautiful green next to the shoreline and affords wonderful views over the Ribble estuary in the distance the town of Southport can clearly be seen across the river.

The inhabitants take advantage of this lovely area and can be seen throughout the year strolling along the front walking the dogs and generally making use of this wide open space.

Venture inland and it soon becomes apparent that the town is a mecca for shoppers, the high Street, has many independent shops.
Mixed in with the shops are many cafes and restaurants where you can stop a while before venturing out into the shops again.

Just a short walk away is the beautiful Lytham hall which is now administered by a trust dedicated to maintaining and preserving this beautiful building.
