The town of Bude although not the prettiest of Cornwall towns more than compensates with some of the best beaches in the area with families and water sports enthusiasts flocking to the area.
Nearby is wide mouth bay this area is great for families with its flat sandy beach, but the jewel is Summerleaze beach also Crooklets with is rock pools which is popular with kids.
Just inland is the medieval town of Stratton with-its long pre Saxon history it makes for a good day out.
